Like it or not, computers are now a part of everyday life. For most of us, technology is essential to our lives, at home and at work. Computational thinking is a skill children must be taught if they are to be ready to take on the challenges of a rapidly changing digital world.

The core of computing is computer science, where pupils are taught the principles of information and computation, how digital systems work and how to put this knowledge to work through programming. An effective computing curriculum ensures that pupils become digitally literate - able to use and express themselves and develop their ideas through information and communication technology - at a level suitable for the workplace and as active participants in a digital world.

At Holy Cross pupils use DB Primary as a learning platform for coding and lessons include how to debug, problem solve and control. The importance of Online Safety is reiterated in every lesson.
